Our Savior, Lansing Receives 5-Star Quality Rating2 min read

Our Savior, Lansing Church & School’s Early Childhood Program has received a 5-star quality rating from Great Start to Quality, Michigan’s quality rating and improvement system for child care and preschool, preparing children to succeed in school and life.

“We are so excited and blessed to have participated in Great Start to Quality!” states Windy Carroll, the Our Savior Lutheran Early Childhood Programs Director. “We are committed to continuous quality improvement and strive to meet the physical, social, emotional, and academic needs of all children entrusted to our care, so going through this process has really helped us reflect on our policies and practices.”

Parents and students alike know the quality that the Our Savior Early Childhood Program staff put into each day of teaching, guiding, and nurturing the students. “Extremely well deserved!” says Sara F. “We feel so fortunate to have found such a wonderful place for our son to begin his educational journey!”

Our Savior Lutheran believes young children learn through play in carefully constructed indoor and outdoor active learning environments that are rich with intentional instruction and provide opportunities for critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, and exploration with a variety of materials including natural elements. There, students are nurtured, supported, and challenged through adult-child interactions as well as independent work so that they may grow in every learning area. Most of all, Our Savior believes that character and faith development should be integrated into every activity, interaction, and situation throughout each day so that each child who comes through their program leaves as a loving Christian, lifelong learner, and responsible citizen.
