‘Not So Home Alone’ Event Brings Community Together1 min read

Nativity, St. Charles hosted it’s first-ever ‘Not So Home Alone’ Christmas Dinner on Dec. 25, 2014 in order to serve the community and those who would otherwise spend the holiday alone or at work. The church is still abuzz with the excitement this event generated, and we are definitely planning on repeating this service event again next year. These photos tell the story:

A great turnout
A great turnout–Local church members and many local volunteers helped prepare and deliver meals.
Delicious Dinner
The food was all homemade and served piping hot
Chocolate fountain
A chocolate fountain and a large variety of desserts helped to cap off the meal. The joyous Christmas spirit of celebrating Jesus’ birth was accentuated with a large birthday cake for Jesus and a number of Christmas carols sung throughout the afternoon.
Early Crowd
95 meals were served, and there was plenty for the volunteers to eat as well. Meals were also delivered to those working or unable to physically make it to the dinner.
