Real. Present. God.1 min read

Psalm 46:7 begins by saying, “The Lord of hosts is with us.” Have you ever had someone, such as a sibling or cousin, constantly follow you around? Maybe they look up to you or maybe they just really like you. Does it ever bother you to have someone being right by your side always?

Having someone follow you is not always a bad thing. To you it may seem annoying, but they see it as just wanting to hang around someone they like or see as a role model.

Our relationship with God might seem like that, too. But He does not see us as annoying; instead, it is the way for us to become more like Him. We should acknowledge God’s presence, follow Him, and encourage others to do the same. We should be examples and always tell others about the great news of Jesus.

God is present in our lives. He is real and always by our side no matter the circumstance. Deuteronomy 31:8 says, “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

We should not be afraid because the Lord is with us everywhere we go. He helps us in every situation and will never leave us.

PRAYER

Dear Lord,

Thank you for always being with us and helping us through the hard times. Please be with everyone who needs you and guard and protect us at all times in our lives. We love you, Lord. In Your name we pray. Amen.

We are most grateful for the opportunity to share Jesus’ amazing love with children and their families.
