Because of God’s Spirit, by faith, we know that God is real. We know that God is present. We know that God is the only God. Evidence of that can often be seen at school. Sometimes school is rough. Sometimes life gets frustrating, but we know that we can rely on Him for anything. Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” God will help us get through those rough and frustrating times we have. Where do you run to when life gets overwhelming?
God shows He is real in different ways. We can see him active in our school lives. We know that God is always with us. Have you ever been worried about a test or difficult homework? Have you been stressed out for a final exam? Have you prayed and He has answered by giving you a clear mind? Psalm 46:7 states, “The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.”
God is God. He reveals that to us in many ways. He is constantly doing things that nobody else could think of doing. That is why He is God. He is the one that provides and cares for us all. As it says in Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” He is stating that He is the God of ALL the world. While we can’t control the future, God has it totally under control.
Real, Present, and God. That is what the Lord is.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for all that you have provided us with. Thank you for being Real, Present, and the only God. Please let us remember that you are still with us when we have great times or struggles. We are sorry for the times that we don’t let you take control. Be with us and give us clear minds so we can do our best with the abilities you have blessed us with. Help us to notice you are real, not imaginary. Help us to notice your presence throughout our daily lives and during school. Help us to realize you are the only loving God there is. Amen.
