South and East Pastors’ Conference 2019

Lots of Grace

May 7, 2019 - May 8, 2019
Frankenmuth, MI

Have you ever felt that it is extremely difficult to motivate people? Have you struggled with discipleship and the third use of the Law in preaching? In this time of apathy in our nation and our world, we could be tempted to motivate with the Law; yet we know that only the Good News of Jesus and His gift of “lots of grace” motivates.

Please join us as we hear from Rev. Dr. Justin P. Rossow and Rev. Dr. David H. Petersen on how to share the message of “lots of grace” to a world and church that needs to hear this Good News. We are praying this conference will leave all of us with an appreciation for how much grace our Lord wants to lavish on us!

Goals & Objectives

The South & East Pastors’ Conference is conducted for the spiritual and professional growth of pastors and vicars.

  • The conference shall provide an opportunity for pastors to meet and encourage one another on a regular basis.
  • The conference shall provide a subject that offers further growth in Christian doctrine and practice, in professional development and in the work of the District and Synod, or in any other professional matters that are brought forward.
  • The conference will cultivate positive relationships: to be mutually helpful in every way possible and to encourage, instruct, and admonish one another in a spirit of sincerity and Christian love.
  • The conference will continue to reach all of the pastors, vicars, and emeriti with an annual opportunity to join together to prayerfully support one another and the Synod. It may adopt and submit overtures to the Convention of the Michigan District.
