Intentional Interim Ministry – Continuing Education Conference 2022

The Value of Intentional Attention to the Congregation’s Worship Identity During the Interim

September 28, 2022 - September 29, 2022
Hillsdale, MI

Worship gatherings are central to the life and health of the Christian congregation. These gatherings reflect the congregation’s identity for themselves and to the community she is called to serve with the Gospel. During times of pastoral transition, the Intentional Interim Pastor enables the congregation to examine, evaluate, and seek God’s guidance regarding the role of corporate worship in their lives together as brothers and sisters in Christ, and its effect on their witness to the community (ministry context). We will examine what Peter Prochnow calls “community messengers” and how their appropriate use in worship can be used by the Holy Spirit to better communicate the life-transforming Gospel as they serve the powerful presence of God through His Word and Sacraments.

He is the producer and pianist for the Lutheran Bible Translators ministry called Living Water at LivingWater.Bible and the creator and producer of thehymnalproject.org. A driving force behind Pete’s ministry and service to the Church is knowing the Church exists for those who aren’t a part of it while seeing the Holy Spirit empower us to show and share Jesus’ love with others through regular prayer and action.
