Extending the Shepherd’s Reach: Spiritual Care in the Congregation

Elder Training

February 17, 2024
Coloma, MI
Although the role of elder often varies from congregation to congregation, we consistently see the biblical emphasis on spiritual leadership demonstrated in practical ways by spiritually mature followers of Jesus. This training event is designed for pastors and their lay leaders who have been identified as spiritual leaders in their respective congregations and therefore have been elected or appointed to serve as elders–extensions of the pastoral office for the care and nurturing of God’s people. This is important work and a high calling from God through His Church.

Elders will want to be well prepared and continually growing in relationship to Jesus Christ, the Lord of the Church, and in effective service to His people with their pastor. This workshop will help them do just that.
