Speaker

Rev. Herbert C. Mueller, Jr. graduated with an M.Div. from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Mo. in 1979. He was also honored with a Doctor of Divinity degree (honoris causa) from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Ind (2012).

Rev. Mueller has served the Lord as pastor of three parishes in Illinois: Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Chicago; Zion Lutheran Church, Bethalto; and Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo. He served nearly six terms as Southern Illinois District President (1994-2010). He has also as District Secretary and Vice President. Presently, Rev. Mueller is serving as the First Vice President of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, having been elected to that office in July 2010, and reelected in 2013 and 2016.  He simply counts it a privilege to serve the Lord and His Church with President Matthew Harrison.

Rev. Mueller is married to Faith and they have 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
