Bridgman’s March for Life2 min read

The processional cross leads the way to the City Hall

Saturday, January 19, 2019 was a very powerful and blessed day at Immanuel, Bridgman as the light of our Lord was shining bright in Southwest Michigan for our March for Life and Baby Shower event.

The processional cross led the way to City Hall, being held by Pastor Jonathan Liebich from Trinity Lutheran in Glendora, along with Rev. Daniel Barz of St. Paul Lutheran in Buchanan, Father Arthur Howard from Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Bridgman, Pastor Erik Gustafson from Lake Michigan Christian Center, Bridgman, and the Executive Director of LifePlan, Lyndon Azcuna, leading approximately 100 participants. A snow storm was in its final stages that day, and all who participated had to wade through several inches of snow to get to the Bridgman City Hall to pray and stand up for the unborn.

It wasn’t just your usual Life Walk on this day, as the Immanuel Church family also held a baby shower event to support those who stand in the trenches every day saving lives. All proceeds and donations went to the LifePlan folks who are establishing a brand-new facility very soon in Benton Harbor, Mich.

The Lord blessed all who attended with safety, great food, good fellowship, outstanding attendance, unbelievable donations for LifePlan, and a wonderful connection with other pastors and churches in the area! As one of the other area pastors put it, “a GOD thing happened today!” It was true that something very special was happening and all who attended knew it, as you could readily see the joy on the faces of everyone who participated in some way on this day.
