“Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you’”

Did you know that only two in 10 people in the United States will attend church this Sunday? Or that between the years 2010 and 2012, more than half of all churches in America did not add even one new member? Today, the need for us to provide a message of hope for the hopeless and healing for the broken is greater than ever.
So many people in today’s world are becoming spiritual wanderers—who often discover little purpose for their lives, little hope for a future and no one to turn to for real comfort and strength in times of trouble. As Christians, how do we leave our comfort zones so that we can be empowered to share the Good News without fear to those who are lost or hurting?
This summer’s Lutheran Hour Ministries SENT conference in Detroit will energetically empower Christians, in particular LCMS members and workers, to engage in a lifestyle of living out and speaking out the Gospel of Jesus. Do you desire to see the Gospel shared in your communities and around the world, and be witness to the Holy Spirit breathing new life into the lost? This conference provides a venue where church workers and laity can learn, network, and worship together. It will create a momentum and passion amongst attendees for evangelism in their communities, and support evangelism efforts around the world.
