Is it Time to Check Your Communication Methods?1 min read

Have you ever looked at how your church has presented itself on the web? Have you compared your church’s website to those of other nearby churches, especially those in your area that seem to be attracting new members? How good of a job does your church do in spreading the word of who you are, what you do, what you believe, and how you serve in the community? Does your church have a sense of mission, and is that clearly communicated on your website or through other Social Media platforms?

Two decades ago, churches that wanted to attract visitors made sure they were listed in the Saturday religion section of the local newspaper and paid for a listing in the Yellow Pages. Those options are no longer available to us today, but have we all adapted to the change that has taken place and become effective in messaging?

Practical Ideas for Community Outreach VI (PICO VI), sponsored by Messiah, Saginaw; Bethlehem, Saginaw; and Faith, Bay City, has chosen Seth Hinz to share his expertise in outreach and communication. Hinz, former Web/Media Director of the Michigan District, is now serving in one of the fastest-growing congregations in the LCMS.

PICO VI will be held at Faith, Bay City on Saturday, October 26 from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Cost is $25/congregation. The workshop is especially useful for pastors, lay leaders, and members interested in outreach/communication. For more information, or to register, visit faithbaycity.org/PICO.

I am desperately trying to find video and worksheets for this conference. I had 2 weddings to attend that day.
If anyone knows how I can get the info from this conference it would be great

Hi Lynda, We don’t know anything about videos or worksheets since this conference isn’t put on by the District; we merely advertise it.
