Rev. Dr. John Sproul
Rev. Dr. John Sproul, senior pastor at St. Luke, Ann Arbor, has been in ministry for 32 years. He grew up as a member of Atonement, Dearborn, where his love for worship was conceived. He graduated from Concordia University Ann Arbor and Concordia Theological Seminary in St. Catharines, Ontario, and has served five congregations around the country, ranging from a mission congregation of 350 to a missional church with 4,000 in worship. In every congregation, he has composed and led both traditional and emerging worship, the latter as worship leader on guitar. He earned a D.Min. in Christian Worship in 2006 under the tutelage of Robert Webber, a prolific author who advocated an “ancient-future” approach to worship. Sproul and his wife Linda have four children.
