Holy Manners for “Our Life Together”

PDF

Document Description:

Webinar and Handout

Rev. Dr. Scott G. Sommerfeld details the Holy Manners process.

The Holy Manners process is a valuable way for you and your group to practice and promote healthy relationships for home, church and all of life. I was introduced to this process by reading and using the insights found in Gil Rendle’s excellent book Behavioral Covenants in Congregations.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that healthy relationships will automatically happen by having people read and sign a Holy Manners statement. Holy Manners are a gift. A gift that you and others give to each other in light of the loving example and transforming impact of the gift of love and grace you’ve each received from Jesus your Savior. Holy Manners and this process are fueled by the gospel. Such an approach makes the Holy Manners process a valuable way for you and your group to experience the blessings of practicing and promoting healthy relationships in your group!!
