A stewardship learning opportunity designed to teach children that they are children of God,
disciples in an active relationship with Him every day and in every way.
“… but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4).
We want our children to learn ALL of God’s Word, especially that we are sinners who have been set free from our condemnation by Jesus Christ, our Savior! We also want them to know then what that means: “I am a child of God!” We have been given that new identity in Jesus and are entrusted to live out that identity as His disciples, stewarding our lives and all that God has created and placed around us.
These materials have been outlined as a four-week emphasis (they could be used in successive weeks, once a month for four successive months, or however you feel it would best fit your schedules and context).
If your congregation does not have a Christian Day School, these materials are still for you! Other suggested uses are your Sunday School ministry, weekday school, or Confirmation instruction.
We have also included a four-week series of children’s messages for worship services that can be used to supplement and teach this important concept in a different context (please make sure your pastor knows it is available!)
We would welcome any comments, feedback, or questions that you might have as we work together as the family of God.
