Rev. Dr. David P. E. Maier
I am first and foremost endeavoring to be a follower of Jesus Christ, true God and true man, my Savior and my Lord. By grace through faith, I am His child. I am also a Pastor and President of the Michigan District, LCMS, a graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne, Ind. My father is the sainted Dr. Walter A. Maier, Jr., son of the first Lutheran Hour Speaker, the sainted Dr. Walter A. Maier. Dr. Paul L. Maier, author and great lecturer, is my uncle … and Walter A. Maier, III (Triple WAMy) is my big brother. Then there’s me … blessed husband to a beautiful, loving, patient wife Pat (Kemmmerling); father of a an awesome young woman, my daughter Leah; father of fellow cancer survivor, son Joel; father to James, incredible young man with an awesome heart; and father to Hannah, my youngest daughter, with enough vim, vigor, and vibrancy for the whole family. I am a truly blessed man … saint and sinner … a living sacrifice, daily being renewed for what lies ahead by grace … knowing that in and through and by Jesus Christ the best is always yet to come.
Canoeing, hunting, golfing, a movie night at home while it’s snowing outside. I love being with people and helping them along life’s way by pointing them to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. I also enjoy reading, celebrating the holidays with family and friends and any other time when we can really appreciate each other and not have anything else to get ready for. My interests also include fishing, camping in the mountains of Montana, the prospect of a snow day in the morning … and anything that has to do with connecting folks to Jesus.
