The Michigan District welcomed six pastoral candidates and seven vicars to its roster last week.
On Tuesday, April 25, and Wednesday, April 26, pastoral candidates received their placement at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind. (CTSFW) and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Mo. (CSL) respectively. Those receiving their first placements from CTSFW include: Alexander Garber IV (St. Peter’s, Eastpointe); Gabriel Martin (Zion, Tawas City); Trenton Wollberg (Holy Cross, Onaway); and Christopher Yeager (Christ, Stevensville). Vicar assignments from CTSFW include Paul Gaschler (St. James, Montague) and Joseph McCalley (Trinity, St. Joseph).
Candidates receiving their first placements from CSL were: Alex Hoffmeyer (Salem, Coloma) and Andrew Pronsati (St. Paul, Trenton). Vicars assigned to Michigan congregations from CSL include: Matthew Bergstresser (Immanuel, Macomb); Maxx Fischer (Messiah, Clio); James “Adam” Rodriguez (St. Lorenz, Frankenmuth); Douglas Slavens (St. Matthew, Walled Lake); and Kyle Weeks (Our Savior, Lansing).
Please keep these students and their families in your prayers as they transition from seminary life into vicarage and full-time ministry.
