We are excited to announce the launch of a new ministry within the District — the pilot opening of a Christian trade school called CrossPointe Center for the Trades.
CrossPointe is a Christian vocational school developed in partnership with the established Southeast Michigan Construction Academy (SEMCA). Through this partnership, students receive hands-on training in a variety of construction trades—including carpentry, electrical, and HVACR—to prepare for a career of skilled service. Alongside their trade education, students will also grow in their faith through courses that connect Christian theology and daily life, as well as develop essential “soft skills” such as teamwork, conflict resolution, and effective communication.
You are invited to join us for an Open House at the SEMCA facility in Sterling Heights on Monday, November 17, from 5:30–7 p.m. This free event offers the opportunity to tour the world-class facility and learn more about this exciting new center. While RSVP is appreciated, it is not required to attend. Location: 36250 Van Dyke Ave., Sterling Heights, MI 48312.
