DESCRIPTION:The Advantage (and Adventure) of Next Step Discipleship in Times of Transition \nIn Transitional Interim Ministry (TIM) we often speak about the “in-between time” as “prime time for renewal” for congregational systems. However\, one of the realities of a “stuck system” is an aversion to the curiosity\, experimentation\, and sense of adventure necessary for healthy change. \nAs founder of Next Step Press\, Justin Rossow supports the mission and ministry of individual Christians\, congregations\, and the whole Church. His presentations on next step discipleship will equip TIM pastors in the unique situation of interim ministry to infuse adventure\, experimentation\, and delight into their own faith lives and into the cultures of the congregations they serve. \nWith registration\, participants will receive a copy of My Next Step\, Volume 1: Getting Started for pre-reading.

DESCRIPTION:Reconciliation—a word\, a concept\, a process!? The world certainly has its own idea of what it means to be reconciled. Even in Christian circles we often carry this worldview baggage with us\, conflating it with God’s Word\, trying to come up with our own way of repairing relationships. We may start thinking that reconciliation is for us and OUR broken relationships\, to the point of neglecting those to whom we are called to minister. What then can we do to minister to those we serve on staff\, in the congregation\, and out into the world? In this conference\, Rev. Dr. Todd Biermann will guide and engage us in what God’s Word says about reconciliation and how it takes shape in one’s life\, family\, the Church\, and the world. Indeed\, we will explore and have the opportunity to internalize being “Reconciled Inside and Out … in Christ”.
