SUMMARY:Deacon\, Pre-SMP\, and Ministry Assistant Training Mini Recruitment Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Deacon\, Pre-Specific Ministry Pastor (SMP)\, and Ministry Assistant Training Program provides training for laity. Deacons may assist with liturgy during a worship service\, teach Bible Studies\, and make visits to shut-ins and those in nursing homes. The program also provides initial theological training for laymen preparing to enter the LCMS SMP track toward ordination. The Ministry Assistant Training prepares women to be leaders in women’s ministry\, teach Bible Studies\, and make home and nursing home visits. Both trained Deacon’s and Ministry Assistant’s help expand the pastoral ministry within the congregation and in their community. \nThis mini-recruitment meeting is geared towards men and women with the desire to serve their congregation\, gain biblical knowledge\, study Lutheran doctrine\, and become better trained to provide qualified leadership in their congregation under the direction of a supervising pastor. \nFor more information about the Deacon\, Pre-SMP\, and Ministry Assistant Program download brochures and please plan to attend the mini recruitment meeting. \nThere is no charge to attend.  Please RSVP by contacting Rev.
