A parish’s vitality comes from Christ, Who calls His people together to be transformed by the renewal of their minds, engaged in prayer, service, teaching, proclamation, and fellowship. Exploring these expressions and signs of the Church helps Christ’s servants to rethink their own work and appreciate all the more the beauty of being the Body of Christ in the world, even in the midst of societal challenges.

Compassion Ministry
In support of the Michigan District Critical Targets, specifically Great Compassion Ministry, the North and East Pastors Conference has partnered with Messiah Midland’s new clinic – Gateway Healthcare. We will support them through our offering collected during our worship service.
Gateway Healthcare specializes in those who have no health insurance in our community and for those who have insurance but can’t afford the deductible. For any family of four that makes less than $83,000, they will not pay more than $40 for an office visit to see our Medical Provider, which also includes labs and tests. For anyone that needs additional health care, we refer them to the Hospital. We utilize the hospital’s financial aid department to help our patients get the care that they need and so far they have not had to pay anything out of pocket for their services. The mission of Gateway Healthcare is “Reaching one more life with Jesus through affordable healthcare.” We ask every patient in our intake process if they would like the Medical Provider to pray with them. Over 75% of the patients that we see say yes to prayer and our Provider has the opportunity to bring Jesus into the healing process. This has made a profound impact on our patient’s lives and in their healing.
The real cost to see a Medical Provider is $75 a visit. The patient pays $40 and our “Patient Fund” pays $35. Any financial gifts given go to Gateway will help patients who cannot afford healthcare to be able to see a Medical Provider and get the healthcare that they need.
