National Youth Gathering

The 2022 National Youth Gathering is upon us!

District Event

On Sunday, July 10 we have the opportunity to join together, along with the Southern & Oklahoma Districts, for fellowship, food, and fun in Hall A in the George A Brown Convention Center! Starting at 5:30 p.m. running through 7:30 p.m., we will have the entire Hall A with all its activities along with your choice of one of four wonderful meals, each of which have Vegetarian, Vegan, and Avoiding Gluten options. Each option will come with 2 sides, cookies, and beverages.

Meal Choices are:

• Tex-Mex Meal: Chicken Fajitas/Fajita Vegetables with Corn & Flour Tortillas, Black Beans & Rice, Tortilla Chips with Mild Salsa, Cookies, Water, Lemonade or Iced Tea w/Lemon.
• BBQ Chicken Meal: Barbeque Chicken with Mustard Potato Salad, Baked Beans, Cookies, Water, Lemonade or Iced Tea w/Lemon.
• Meat Lasagna Meal: Meat Lasagna, Caesar Salad, Garlic Bread, Cookies, Water, Lemonade or Iced Tea w/Lemon.
• Rotisserie Chicken Meal: Rotisserie Chicken, Roasted Potatoes, Mixed Green Salad, Cookies, Water, Lemonade or Iced Tea w/Lemon.

You’ll want to save your visit to Hall A until our event, with only our groups together; it will give you more opportunities with a smaller group. Hall A is not only home for the Youth Ministry Booth, The Gathering Store, LCMS Ministry Booth, but also a number of games like: “9square in the air,” “gaga ball,” “human size hungry, hungry hippos,” etc. With possibly more speakers/activities being added to our time together for our event. At the end of the event, we’ll have a short walk over to Minute Maid Park for the Mass Event that evening! You have the opportunity to enjoy all of this for only $20!

Michigan District 2022 LCMS Youth Gathering T-Shirt! 

For our District T-shirt for “In All Things” we’ll have these “eye-catching” daisy-colored shirts that will clearly show where we’re from and some of what we believe about our God and great state! We hope that these shirts will be our “evening wear” for the day of the District Event on Sunday, July 10 of the Gathering, and many times after that. This Gathering’s shirt will help you not only look good but help you share the Good News & hopefully a chuckle or 2! This 50/50 blend will give you great comfort and wear-ability! Each of these dazzling shirts are only $9: unless you get a 2XL then it’s $11 or a 3XL is $12.

Bus Information for the Michigan District

Please note that because of the ongoing pandemic conditions, the large variety of schedules groups would have, and the length of time for a bus ride to Houston, the Michigan District will not be offering a bus package to the NYG. If there is anyone interested in information to schedule a private bus trip or have questions regarding other gathering preparations, please contact Randy Bickel, Michigan District Coordinator at midistythgath@yahoo.com or 989.624.9204.
