This face-to-face fellowship/learning event is specially designed to encourage and facilitate existing and potential Deacon and Ministry Assistant students to successfully engage with the great coursework and mentor teams toward degree completion and growing ministry effectiveness. While particularly designed for existing students, potential students and interested pastors are welcomed and strongly encouraged to attend. Along with an exegetical focus as Rev. Ken Huner leads a study into a select portion of the Greek New Testament, you will hear updates from Rev. Dr. Robert Kasper and Dean of Instruction Rev. Ken Huner on a “second track” for Deacon Training that will not be on the Sioux Fall Seminary platform. Finally, hear an encouraging report from our school’s first graduate, Deacon Al Renard.
A note regarding masks during the COVID-19 pandemic: The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) has provided mask guidance that flexes based on three key COVID-19 phases (response, recovery, and readiness). The Michigan District will follow any mask mandates by the MDHHS, local health departments, or venues that are in place at the time of an event or conference. Masks are generally available at the registration desk. If you are feeling unwell or have any symptoms of COVID prior to arrival, please stay home.
