Since 1981, the Lutheran Adult Gathering has brought together believers to this spectacular setting to be spiritually strengthened for service to Christ in this world. The theme for the 2024 Gathering is “New Beginnings IN HIS PRESENCE,” based on Revelation 21:5. Nationally renowned speakers will inspire and encourage us to connect with the next generation of believers with the hope-filled and unchanging message of the Gospel.

Keynote Speaker
Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Gibbs
Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Gibbs was ordained in 1979 after graduating from Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne, Ind., and served as congregational pastor from 1979–1989. Then, after three years of full-time graduate study, he was called to teach New Testament at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Mo., where he served for 28 years until his retirement in 2020. He is now Professor Emeritus, which means he doesn’t have to go to any meetings ever again. Dr. Gibbs is the author of the Concordia Commentary on the Gospel of Matthew, and he has taught the Scriptures to lay and clergy groups around the Synod.

Mrs. Renee Gibbs
Renee Gibbs is a speaker, teacher, and encourager who is waiting for Jesus’ return! With advanced degrees in education and theology, Renee teaches numerous Bible studies and mentoring groups for Seminary wives and around the country at women’s retreats. She served on the National Lutherans for Life Board and took teens to the March for Life in Washington, DC 21 times. Renee has a heart for missions and led 16 Seminary mission trips to Guatemala.

Ms. Lizzie Boeck
Lizzie is a former coach and Division I athlete turned standup comedian and writer. She got her start in comedy studying improv at Second City Hollywood and The Groundlings and later took to the stage as a standup. She has performed at some of LA’s top venues and shows and has also performed in New York, Philadelphia, and Milwaukee. A Midwest native and lifelong Lutheran, Lizzie is excited for the opportunity and challenge to perform in front of her toughest crowd yet—Midwestern Lutherans.

Rev. Dr. Ryan Tinetti
Rev. Dr. Ryan Tinetti is pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Arcadia, Mich., and the author of Preaching by Heart (Cascade Press, 2021). He and his wife, Anne, have four kids, seven chickens, and one dog.

100 White Flags
100 White Flags was forged, 15 years ago, in the belly of a one-car garage in Minneapolis, Minn. Paul, Beth, and Jeromy had all served in ministry bands with Youth Encounter dating back to the late 20th century. Since then, Paul and Beth separately have been worship leaders for churches and camps. After coming together, 100 White Flags has traveled across the United States leading worship and performing for weekend youth events, Christian Festivals, retreats, coffee houses, and special concerts. Stylistically, they have ranged between folk campfire acoustic ballads to alternative rock. For the band, it’s about sharing the hope and love of Christ on and off stage.

A limited number of rooms is available on Thursday and Sunday nights for those wishing to extend their stay. Rates are $269 for up to 2 people plus $149 for additional adults for each shoulder night. Rates include room and an additional dinner and breakfast for each guest.

Please note: there is a ferry parking fee, and parking is off site. You will need to park off site and shuttle to the ferry (shuttles are provided). You can drop friends and luggage at the ferry before finding parking.
