The 2021 Early Childhood Conference is on! We can’t wait to gather with all of you on August 11 at Shepherd of the Lakes in Brighton. Jim Gill is our morning keynote, followed by a wide variety of sessions throughout the day. Everyone attending will go home with an ‘I Love Lutheran Schools’ t-shirt and other fun stuff. We look forward to gathering together to be encouraged and strengthened in our roles as early childhood educators!

Keynote Speaker
Jim Gill
Jim Gill is a musician and author with singular credentials among children’s artists. He spent 20 years directing programs in music play for families with special needs children in the Chicago area. His particular writing style—combining word play and movement opportunities into songs—was developed through this work. Jim completed his graduate studies in child development at the Erikson Institute of Chicago with a special emphasis on the study of play. His work experience and studies have led him to create each of his recordings and books as an opportunity for playful interactions between a child and a caring adult.

SCECH hours and training hours will be available.
Full-day conference attendees will receive a certificate for 5 training hours after the conference. For those needing SCECHs, 4.5 hours have been approved. Please pick up a form at registration to apply for these hours.
