Reconciliation—a word, a concept, a process!? The world certainly has its own idea of what it means to be reconciled. Even in Christian circles we often carry this worldview baggage with us, conflating it with God’s Word, trying to come up with our own way of repairing relationships. We may start thinking that reconciliation is for us and OUR broken relationships, to the point of neglecting those to whom we are called to minister. What then can we do to minister to those we serve on staff, in the congregation, and out into the world? In this conference, Rev. Dr. Todd Biermann will guide and engage us in what God’s Word says about reconciliation and how it takes shape in one’s life, family, the Church, and the world. Indeed, we will explore and have the opportunity to internalize being “Reconciled Inside and Out … in Christ”.

Rev. Todd Biermann
Married to Heather Stange in 1995, Dr. Biermann has always had a passion for fostering marriages and families in God’s way. This was true in his role as a parish pastor of the LCMS for 33 years (most recently at Faith, Grand Blanc), in his international ministry with Heather, Life in God’s Way, and now as they both are working with Concordia Center for the Family (CCF) out of Ann Arbor, Mich. Dr. Biermann’s educational path (B.A. at Concordia University Nebraska, M.Div. at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, and D.Min. at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne), along with a wide array of field experience, has prepared him for his role as the Executive Director of CCF, which he was called to begin in February 2024. He rejoices in the privilege to promote Family Discipleship, empowering every family to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ by daily receiving His gifts in the home with church support. Rev. Drew Gruenhagen
Rev. Drew Gruenhagen has been the Senior Pastor at St. Michael Lutheran Church and School in Wayne, Mich., for the past 17 years. He previously served at Hope, St. Helen for 5 years. Pastor Drew has served as a supervising pastor for Deacons, Deacon Students, and SMP Vicars, as well as a Circuit Visitor. He is an avid runner and mountain biker and loves to read.

Rev. Rennie Kaufmann
Rev. Rennie Kaufmann was ordained as an SMP pastor in 2011 and has been serving at Risen Christ, Plymouth (English District) since January 2014. He has over 30 years of experience in the Worship Arts Ministry at several congregations. He is also an entertainer with over 40 years of experience in playing the keys and vocals, which he considers his side hustle. Rennie’s charismatic presence and musical talents are sure to make our Karaoke Night a memorable and entertaining event for all!
