You are invited to attend the Community Worship Network gathering on June 9 for encouragement, support, and shared knowledge and experience from three amazing presenters.
The Michigan District Community Worship Network is a group of worship arts leaders, church music leaders, pastors, and students serving within the Michigan District. The network will support and connect worship leaders and their churches through prayer, inspirational learning, helpful resources, encouragement, and ongoing support.

Rev. Steve Zank
Rev. Steve Zank serves as the Director of the Center for Worship Leadership and Director of the Director of Parish Music Program at Concordia University Irvine, Calif., where he hosts the worship-focused podcast Theology in Motion. Steve also enjoys his work as a musician, music producer, and Ph.D. student of Concordia Seminary Saint Louis. He is husband to Amber and dad to Melody and Jacob.

Dr. John Boonenberg
John Boonenberg serves as Kreft Endowed Chair in Music, Assistant Professor of Music, and Director of Choral Activities & Church Music at Concordia University Ann Arbor. He also serves as Director of Music at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor, and Music Director of The Boychoir of Ann Arbor. As a long-time concert artist, Director of Music Ministry, and master teacher, Dr. Boonenberg has been involved in the full musical life of the church—playing organ, piano, guitar, and other instruments for worship services, conducting choirs and instrumental ensembles, and teaching general music and drama in Lutheran schools. Dr. Boonenberg holds degrees from The University of Michigan (BM, DMA) and The Juilliard School (MM).

Dan Reinert
Dan Reinert serves as the Director of Media Technology at St. Lorenz in Frankenmuth. He is blessed with the ability to stay calm under pressure and has learned to quickly troubleshoot problems. These attributes have allowed him to learn much over the years about the use of technology for the enhancement of ministry and worship. He has had the chance to work with many volunteers and fellow church workers to provide meaningful experiences for countless numbers of worshipers.

Compassion Ministry
In support of the Michigan District Critical Targets, specifically Healthy Workers, the Community Worship Network gathering will be taking an offering in which we will collect monies for church worker students studying in the area of worship.
