Thank you for serving as visitors. We have prepared the material below to help you have a successful visit and a meaningful feedback loop. Please contact my office if you need any help. God bless your service.
Visitation Check List
- Get contact information for the pastor(s) and the congregation leadership.
- Adapt suggested emails and send—begin process to arrange a meeting. Phone calls too.
- Before the visits, make sure you have any materials the District wishes to be distributed or details about events the District wants to promote.
- Verify, before the dinner with the pastor and his wife, about a restaurant preference, date, and time. If they will have a babysitting expense, offer to cover it as well.
- After your visits, complete the online report form and submit your expense voucher with receipt to the President’s Office.

- In the meantime, I would like to encourage you to take a survey provided by the LCMS that will assist you in assessing where your congregation is relative to vitality. The tool is Congregational Assessment of Development/Decline Status (CADDS) and can be accessed by emailing WOR@lcms.org. Megan Welch will lead assist you.
